This guide assumes no prior knowledge of the Bit Heroes game, Kongregate accounts, etc. If by chance you already have a Kongregate account or happen to be a Bit Heroes player, some of this won’t apply to you (as you will have already completed many steps).

To interact with the NFT inventory you’re going to need to play through enough of the new user tutorial to set up the state that a real user would have as follows (If you already have a Kongregate account, you can either log in to it or create a new one as per below).

Install:

Mobile - Download the active live-build 2.3.205 or higher
Steam - Play the active live-build 2.3.205 or higher
WebGL - Play the active live-build 2.3.205 or higher

Initial Playthrough and Inventory Location:

Once installed begin the process of playing through the early game to get to a point you can create/login as a Kongregate user (this is required to interact with the NFT system):

Launch app, wait for the following screen to appear:

- Tap through these conversation dialogs until they close and bring up the following screen:

- Tap to view the world map and keep tapping on dialogs until the dungeon is loaded:

- Tap the red X in the upper right hand corner to exit the dungeon. A dialog will appear that allows you to return to the town:

-Tap your character in the lower left-hand corner. A window will appear that shows what your character has equipped and what is in your inventory. The inventory window is where your NFT purchases will show up, and from there you can “equip” them and take advantage of the utility they provide (as you can see below; on the left what you are “wearing” on the right your “inventory”):

-Now to start the process to get your NFT’s. In the game connect as a Kongregate user. To create a Kongregate account tap the “K” button in the lower right-hand corner:

-Tap register, enter an email address, enter a password

-Once registration is successful, all future game sessions will automatically use the newly linked K Account. (You can verify this by closing the game and relaunching. Verify you are logged into your new K account by tapping the K button again and you should already be logged in.)

Once the above steps are done you will be ready to engage with the NFT exchange (like a real player).

Since the NFT exchange is external to the game - the next steps will all be done outside of the game.

Kongregate.io Linkage to Kongregate

The following steps are all performed via a web browser (outside of the mobile app).

Login to the Kongregate Account you created above by going to https://www.kongregate.com/ and logging in with the same credentials you used in the game.
Create an account in https://kongregate.IO/ (This must use a valid email address for account confirmation)
Once you log in and create a “kongreate.io” account in step 2 - Navigate to the following URL ("https://www.kongregate.com/io_connections/new") to link your newly created “io” account to your in-game “Kongregate” account. The page will allow you to link the accounts looks like the following:

Forte Linkage to Kongregate.IO

The following steps are all performed via a web browser (outside of the mobile app).

In kongregate.io click on the "Buy More" button
This will open a new tab, asking you to create an account in Forte. You will need to create a Forte Account.
Follow the instructions in your email inbox
Once verified, enter the User And Password to Link the account. (Please know that Forte usernames are case sensitive, and if the username you created contains a capital letter, you must type it exactly as you created it.)

Link the Kongregate.IO Bit Heroes NFT to Forte

Click on “Buy” for either of the NFTs. Doing so will launch the Forte->Kongregate game linkage after you log in. Buy Koins in Forte using the Kongregate.IO app. You will get a confirmation email on the successful purchase of any Koins.

Once you have purchased the required number of coins you will be able to purchase the NFT Items of your choice (in playkongregate.com). You will get a confirmation email on the successful purchase of the NFT(s).

Relaunch the Mobile App:

Relaunch the application (from the install and initial playthrough steps) and access your inventory as shown earlier. Notice you now have NFTs in your inventory! Proceed to equip them and enjoy the utility they provide.

Steam Instructions: Play the Game and link with Kongregate

When opening the game, you should link your account with your Kongregate account by clicking on the K button.

After correctly linking your character with your Kongregate account, you should see your NFT items there.
