Chat moderators (often referred to as ‘mods’) are meant to keep the community clean, constructive, and welcoming. Mods know the World Chat Terms of Service (ToS) well and take action when someone has broken the rules. Actions include, but are not limited to: providing conduct warnings, issuing temporary silences, Discord mutes/kicks/bans, requesting name or guild name/tag changes, and requesting permanent silences.
Our world chat mods enforce the rules in in-game world chat and on the Official Bit Heroes Discord Server, which we consider to be an extension of world chat.
Moderators are selected off based on community reputation and current moderator recommendations as well as our scheduling needs and the answers provided in the Moderator Application Form. While many of these players may be veterans, they are not required to provide game play help in chats (though many do, anyway).
We expect our mods to be mature and fair; even when issuing a warning or mute, even if a player is rude.
