Sorry, submissions to run for a council position are currently closed.
Submissions for the Democratic Player Council are held each year around August. Campaigning is held towards the end of September, and final votes in the first week or two of October.
Stay tuned for announcements of the next election season! When that time comes, here's how things will work:
Step 1 - Sumissions
Submit your information for developer review. Only vetted individuals may proceed into the voting phase.
Step 2 - Vetting
After submissions close, developers review the information and vet candidates for the next step. Our vetting process will includes:
- A review of bans, mutes, and/or silences issued to your Kongregate.com and Bit Heroes accounts. Your history should be free of any week-long bans or major offenses.
- A review of previous interactions with staff and the player community. Your interactions with devs, the support team, and game chats should be free of offensive, harassing, and excessively toxic behaviors or language.
- Confirmation of account age. Your account must be active and at least 3 months old.
Step 3 - Campaigning
Once vetted, you will be invited to post your information to the official council candidate forums. Your information will be added to a directory of candidates for all to view.
During this time, candidates are encouraged to engage with the community and let people know why it is in their best interest to vote for you.
Step 4 - Voting
Voting will take place in-game towards the end of September.
Step 5 - Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA)
Once all the votes are counted and verified, we will reach out to all winners to sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Step 6 - Announcements & Executive Council
Once all elected members have signed their NDA, we announce the roster with the greater community.
Step 7 - Working with the devs and community.
After all council election matters are squared away, the sitting council members will regularly engage with the community and developers.
